Family History

For the finals in Emerging Technology, I had to create a family tree for my family. As I went further into my family I interrogated my grandmother, Gloria, and my great- grandmother, Myra. i used Google Docs to write down any answers to my questions. I used this information to make a detailed family tree on Prezi:

After gathering more information, I made an infographic over my family on Piktochart:

Blog Post of the Day:
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

Over the awesome 5 day weekend I will grant myself to eat so much turkey I will explode. I only really like turkey. I hate ham. Ham is awful. Turkey is great especially if the turkey is heated. I love heated turkey. Over the weekend I will go to my grandma's house most likely because we do that every year. They just moved into a new house after living in their previous one for around 50 years. This is their first Thanksgiving in the new house. It is much more spacious and Thanksgiving should be less crowded than usual.

Thanks giving day pictures

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

Reflecting on my grade I should have tried to stabilize the camera more. I tried duct taping the camera however that didn't work. I didn't have a tripod at my disposal. I should have used a tripod. I could have also used natural light instead of artificial light. I feel that if I did those two things my grade would've been better.

Blog Post of the Day:
Tell me about your weekend.

My weekend was pretty joyful. I worked on homework for most of the weekend. I had a honors biology essay I had to write. That took at least half the day. For the other half of Saturday I worked on my ELA questions. Those were horrifyingly awful. All eight you had to decipher before you could answer them. They used really intricate words. It was horrendous. Then I had to study for my Spanish test. So, as you can see my weekend was joyful.

Blog Post of the Day:
Tell me about your experience with taking your stop-motion photos. What problems did you run in to? What did you find difficult about the process? What would you go back and change about HOW you took the photos? Explain yourself.

I officially hate stop motion animation. It took around 3 hours to take all 345 pictures by myself. The most difficult thing was I didn't have a tripod so I had to use duck tape to put hold my camera in place. The shots were sometimes off because of that. I would go back and get a tripod next time. Also I would get one of those clickers that takes pictures for me so I could just move the objects. That would have saved so much time.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop motion animation is a video or collage of a bunch of pictures being taking whilst the object or thing being photographed is being moved. When the photos are played back at a high speed it looks like a video.
